New Mexico is a one-of-one original from the 21GRAMS State Series, an ongoing body of work translating the identity of each U.S. state into leather.

The State Series is built as an identity archive, using the symbols, character, and story of a place rather than reducing it to a map or souvenir. The artwork is created using tattooling, the needle-driven leather embossing process developed by 21GRAMS.

This is the actual New Mexico original. It is not a print or reproduction. Only one exists.
